Play Ball folks! Jared Catherine and Shawn Atkins are back in the swing of things with a brand new episode of Figure It Out!
Shawn and Jared both find themselves in the grip of video game addiction. Shawn's be lost in the computer game Last Defense while Jared has been hooked on Bejeweled Blitz. Which leads the guys to reminisce about that old chestnut Duck Hunt.
Jared introduce Figure It Out's first official segment, Pirate Round-Up! The 2014 MLB season recently opened and Jared was there for the Pittsburgh Pirates season opening win against the Chicago Cubs.
Jared watched the season finale of The Walking Dead, which is significant because Jared never watches The Walking Dead. He gives his obligatory review of a show he knows nothing about, but he adored one scene in particular.
Jared introduces Shawn to the web-comic, Private Eye, by Brian K. Vaughn and Marcos Martin.
The guys take a look at some Fantastic Four casting news and Jared gripes about the astronomical price tag on Marvel's upcoming Amazing Spider-Man #1.
After Jared gets done complaining about bloated, over-priced comic books he sings the praises of Marvel's new Silver Surfer #1 by Dan Slott with art by the incomparable Mike Allred. Jared digs the new Silver Surfer series but is highly amused by how much it's a take-off of Doctor Who.
To wrap it up this week the guys fall down an IMDB rabbit hole investigating the voice cast from Batman: The Animated Series and are dumbfounded when they learn just how long Murphy Brown ran on television.
